If you’re looking to create life long memories, relax and unwind in a spacious and luxurious home, plus spend time on one of the most beautiful lakes in the southeast, than the Maloney Lake house is your vacation home. It’s perfect for Family Reunions, multi-family vacations, small weddings or a weekend retreat! Great dates are still available Off-Season & next summer.
The home is located on the shores of Lake Keowee, near Seneca, South Carolina, on Maughan Trail off of Highway 188 - and only 16 miles from Clemson University.
This exquisite 6,000 square-foot lakefront home was built and decorated by the family matriarch with the goal of having a vacation home large enough for her six children and fourteen grandchildren to enjoy together. The main house has 8 bedrooms and 5 ½ baths, with the owners suite (Master) on the main. All of the bedrooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated.
The gourmet kitchen was built for a CHEF - features include a nine-foot island with a prep-sink, double oven, a five-burner gas cook top, and a pasta faucet. The dining room has 2 large circular tables. Each table has a lazy Susan and can seat 8 to 10, plus there is counter seating for four. Also, there is a small wet bar with an ice machine close by! The spacious deck has two picnic tables for enjoying lunch outdoors in wet bathing suits. The picnic tables can seat 12 to 16 kids/adults, and are less than 10 feet from the kitchen.
Lake Keowee, with 18,000 acres of blue water with a 300-mile shoreline and every morning you can walk to the end of our dock and see the lake bottom 14 feet below. It is a perfect place for boating, fishing, water-skiing, swimming, camping and picnicking. There is a public boat ramp a few minutes away, so you are welcome to bring your boat and leave it at our dock; the dock is fixed, covered and wooden – the ideal spot for children to catch their first fish. The adults will gather and relax in the attached Gazebo and deck, a great place to enjoy the peaceful serenity of the lake and three undeveloped islands. The house also has two kayaks to explore the pristine lake with all of its natural beauty. (The dock has power and a water hose)
The backyard has a level playing area with room for volleyball, three-legged races, kickball and other activities for children of all ages. Below the level playing area, the backyard gently slopes down to the lake. (This is the utopian backyard for families with small children). The driveway has ample space for ten cars. On the lower level, there is a children’s playroom filled with toys and a separate family room so the adults can enjoy the peaceful upstairs living room. There is a separate card room for the adults. Wireless Internet access is included, so bring your laptops and iPad’s if you want to stay connected and plugged-in.
To all our good friends (you know who you are) call Francis X. direct and during the off season I give you the Friends and Family rate. You should know how to reach me, and don't call my brother's number! I'll personally handle it.
